On this week’s edition of the OAS Coach’s Toolbox, we are taking a look at TeachAids!This non-profit organization is an award-winning social venture that creates breakthrough technology to solve persistent problems in health education around the world. TeachAids’ latest health education initiative, CrashCourse, educates youth on the prevention and treatment of concussions. There are several educational videos that aim to teach young athletes about the effects of concussions. There are two resources currently available on their website (in online and VR versions) to download for free: Concussion Education and Brain Fly-Through.
Coming in the Fall of 2020, TeachAids will be releasing The Symptoms Story Wall. This resource will showcase more than 600 video narratives from those impacted by concussions, as well as expert advice from leading medical professionals. Other upcoming free, sports-specific concussion education products are currently in development.
TeachAids recently introduced its newest initiative, the CoviDB Speaker Series. This is a series of engaging interviews that bring topical COVID-19 information directly to a global audience. This speaker series allows us to go one level deeper into various related topics of interest that are not as easily available through traditional media.
