The Ontario Coaching Excellence Awards are awarded annually to 10 coaches across Ontario to celebrate and recognize coaches for the integral role they play with their team(s), sport and community. Please join us in congratulating our OAS coach Alyssa Smith for winning the Grassroots Coach Award on tomorrow’s live broadcast!
Alyssa spent her entire athletic and coaching career on the pool deck in Ontario with York Artistic Swimming. Her former coach, Mary-Jane Ling, described Alyssa as ” a very conscientious and dedicated athlete. “Zippy” loved to have fun but knew when to be serious. She was very coachable AND – in her 10 year career she only missed 1 practice.”
