Novice Championships Recap
At 4:00 after the events finished, the athletes were all invited back for a virtual visit from Senior National team member, Jacqueline Simoneau, to talk to the girls about her Olympic journey. Jacqueline shared the importance of sport at any level and and went through a few fun exercises with the kids to get them up and moving. The kids were super excited to be able to talk to Jacqueline and send her good luck wishes for the Tokyo Olympics! Jacqueline stuck around to present our Novice Championships awards. Congrats to all of the athletes and thank you to Jacqueline for making that moment so special for our swimmers.
The end of a season is always bittersweet, but we want to take this opportunity to wish our novice athletes a happy summer! Thank you to all the athletes, coaches, parents, officials and volunteers for making the season, and we’re hoping to see their smiling faces in person next season!
