Twelve of Ontario’s top artistic swimming athletes are training hard this summer, preparing for the opportunity of a lifetime: to represent Ontario at the 2025 Canada Games in Newfoundland. After months of dedication, the top 10 athletes will go on to compete and with them, two full-time coaches guiding their every move, stroke, and lift. These athletes are balancing intense training schedules and family life, all while covering the significant financial costs of their pursuit of excellence.
Here’s the reality:
Each athlete must cover approximately $5,000 in training and competition-related expenses and that doesn’t include their living costs. This includes fees for training camps, coaching, travel, accommodation, and more. Some even need to relocate or pay for housing just to attend the camps needed to be at their best.
The families and Ontario Artistic Swimming are proud to support these incredible athletes, but we can’t do it alone. That’s why we’re asking for your support through Make A Champ.
