Congratulations to the members of Ontario Artistic Swimming’s Canada Games Team, who brought home three bronze medals from the 2019 Games in Red Deer, Alberta!
The team was led by Head Coach Yingli Hou & Assistant Coach Chihiro Ishii, and began the selection process back in the fall of 2017. The final team of 10 athletes was named following trials in June of 2018, and the group got together in Toronto to choreograph a brand-new Free Team Program with the help of Jin Na and Canadian Olympian Jacqueline Simoneau early in the summer. The group began full training camps in August of 2018, meeting on weekends in Toronto in the lead-up to the February Games.

In the solo event, Team Ontario was represented by Scarlett Finn & Emma Spott. Scarlett placed third in the B Final, and Emma took home the bronze in the A Final. Jade Warren & Emma Fox, and Madeline Whitten & Emma Spott competed for Ontario in the duet event. Warren & Fox placed second in the B final, with Whitten & Spott claiming the bronze in the A Final. In the Team event, Ontario came second in the Tech Final, finishing in third position overall and taking the bronze medal.
