The success of artistic swimming in Ontario relies on a healthy grassroots sport environment for all our member clubs and their athletes/coaches/volunteers coupled with the development and advancement of our high-performance athletes. As the governing body for the sport in Ontario, OAS is committed to advancing the sport through support for athletes/coaches/clubs at all levels from grassroots through to high performance. To support and build our sport in Ontario, OAS is looking for interested, qualifies candidates to join its Board and help lead and build the organization.
The Board meets approximately once a month and as required. The meetings are held primarily virtually with the option for in person. At its annual meeting, on September 29th 2022, OAS voting members will elect 2 Directors, each to serve a 3-year term.
NOMINATIONS
Persons interested in joining the OAS Board should complete the nomination/application form linked below and attach a brief curriculum vitae. A brief statement is required as to why you wish to run for the position, your prospective contribution to delivering the OAS mission and brand, along with your personal objectives as a Director, should you be elected.
Following consultation with the Board, the Nominating Committee especially welcomes nominations from those who can strengthen OAS’s representation in the following areas of skills and expertise:

PROCESS
The following is the timeline summarizing the 2022 nominating process:
June 30, 2022: Call for Nominations communicated to member clubs, coaches, and officials via email and on the OAS website and social media channels.
August 29, 2022: Nomination Form and Nominee Profile are due by 4:30pm EST. Forms must be submitted through the Online Registration Form.
Week of September 12 , 2022: Candidate interviews with Nominating Committee members. The Nominating Committee will screen all nominations received and will contact those eligible to be considered for an interview.
September 20 , 2022: The Nominating Committee will announce the slate of Candidates for the 2021-2022 board via email and on the OAS website.
September 29, 2022: OAS Annual Meeting and election.
