OAS is excited to welcome Grace Lockhart to the OAS team as the new DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) & Athete Wellness Consultant.
Grace will be working in conjunction with OAS staff to help advance current DEI & athlete wellbeing initiatives, conducting a comprehensive assessment of currect DEI practices and policies and advising on opportunities for education & improvement. In addition, Grace will also be consulting on athlete focused initiatives and working to develop educational training materials for provincial programming stakeholders.

Grace Lockhart, BAH, MA
Grace works as the Specialty Programs Lead Coach at Ignite Artistic Swimming Club, focussing on providing support to both athletes and coaches involved in the club’s Adapted programming, as well as working to expand local outreach and awareness initiatives for programs serving Adapted athletes.
In addition, Grace brings over 14 years of experience in the disability field, having worked with people possessing a range of disabilities to promote advocacy, create policies, and develop practices related to equity and inclusion. She is currently completing her Graduate Certificate at Toronto Metropolitan University in Community Engagement, Leadership & Development, adding to her impressive educational background in Human Resources, Critical Disability Studies, and Gender & Women’s Studies.
Grace is deeply invested in creating opportunities for diverse athletes, and is excited to work with the OAS team to make our provincial artistic swimming community a more accessible and inclusive place.
