Happy Monday! This week we are taking a closer look at the FINA Learning Platform. FINA administers international competition and development in all six FINA aquatic disciplines: Swimming, Open Water Swimming, Diving, Water Polo, Artistic Swimming and High Diving. FINA strongly believes in the importance of having a globally-respected workforce of coaches with an established and consistent curriculum, as a key factor for athlete development.
The FINA Learning platform aims to educate coaches, officials, administrators and anyone related to the Aquatics Community. The Learning Platform is accessible to all National Member Federations to share and learn about the best and latest trends as well as the newest techniques in Aquatics. Apart from the different Certification and Education programmes, the Platform shares some invaluable articles on all disciplines. The Artistic Swimming articles will open your eyes to new coaching techniques from across the world. Click here to browse the Artistic Swimming articles on the FINA Learning Platform.
Live sessions are another way that FINA engages coaches across all aquatic disciplines. Earlier this summer the Learning Platform featured our very own Senior National Team Head Coach, Gabor Szauder, in one of their live sessions. Gabor went into detail about athleticism and athletic values within the sport of Artistic Swimming. Don’t worry if you missed it, you can click here to replay the session!
