OAS Coach's Toolbox
August 24, 2020 –

Get your coaching toolboxes ready, because we have another addition! Incorporated in 1973, SIRC, the Sport Information Resource Centre, is Canada’s leader and most trusted partner in advancing sport through knowledge and evidence. SIRC is committed to engaging with organizations and individuals involved in the development of sport, recreation and physical education in Canada and around the world, to enhance the capacity of our shared community to foster growth and the pursuit of excellence.

On their website you can find a plethora of interesting articles and blog posts. You can also find ‘Knowledge Nuggets’ which provide a daily source of insight, leveraging the latest in research findings, promising practices, relevant news and practical resources. These are perfect to pull up and read each morning while you sip your coffee!

On their youtube channel, you can tune in and find SIRCTalks! Similar to the well-known concept of Ted Talks, this series brings together diverse voices and experts to showcase how new research is impacting Canadian sport, and vice versa. Listening to experts in the field is one of the best ways to learn about coaching, we encourage coaches to take the time to explore all of the different expert interviews.
