For the second edition of OAS Coach’s Toolbox, we are diving into the Sport for Life website. This organization is a knowledge-based social enterprise that encourages governments, institutions, schools, and sport organizations to improve their programs and services in ways that will benefit everyone—not just the high achievers. Their ultimate goal is for athletes to live longer, healthier lives.
Sport for Life places an emphasis on physical literacy and Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD), two frameworks that are essential for our coaches. Their website is a handy tool that covers a variety of topics in order to give you the tools to build better programs for your athletes. Under the resources tab on their website, you can find countless articles, workshops and E-learning courses.
