OFFICIALS ROLES
OAS Officials play a crucial role in artistic swimming in Ontario. Through theory and practical training, officials learn how to accurately assess artistic swimming events, lend support to clubs, and assist in high performance selection activities.
JUDGES
Judges are trained to officiate at all sanctioned competitions, assessing athletes in land and water events. Judges move through a tiered development pathway starting at the provincial level all the way up to and including international appointments.
REFEREES
Referees are trained to govern the conduct of each sanctioned competition, ensuring that all OAS, CAS and FINA rules and regulations are followed by participants. Referees are trained in conjunction with judging courses.
SCORERS
Scorers are responsible for collecting and processing all official scores of sanctioned competitions. Scorer training is offered by demand independently of Judging and Referee courses.
